Can children actually learn while playing during their holidays? Can they enhance their knowledge as they are cooperating with siblings, cousins, friends, etc.?
The author – with life experience as educator, mother and grandmother – tells us about the time she has spent with her  grandchildren on holidays along the years to show us what it could be like. It is an experience of true creative holidays, where children test and enhance their learning in a playful way.
Throughout the book, we perceive the success of the results. The activities not only arise interest in the youngest ones, but also enable them to truly learn - without noticing! Some of the outcomes are: increasing vocabulary, improving spelling, fostering the book lover spirit, learning to cooperate, taking care of the environment, acquiring values of solidarity, friendship, coexistence, team spirit, etc.
The book includes over thirty fun and easy to carry out activities and games. Furthermore, in the Annex we can find tales, plays, sequences, poems… Many of which are produced by the children themselves.
The author insists on the main aim of this work: that any adult - grandparents, parents, child carers, etc. – close to children during their holidays and leisure time gets involved and spends time to be with them and play with them. This is, undoubtedly, the best way to nurture happy children as they enhance their learning.
